Qiyam ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data is collected, why, and how it is handled when you use the Qiyam iOS app.
Qiyam is designed to work with the minimum data necessary. Most data never leaves your device. We do not sell your data. We do not run advertising. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
The following data is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's standard UserDefaults and local file storage. It never leaves your device unless you explicitly use iCloud features (see section 4):

This data is governed by Apple's iCloud/CloudKit privacy terms. Qiyam does not operate its own cloud database. You can opt out of CloudKit features by not using the partner matching queue.
Qiyam queries the AlAdhan API (api.aladhan.com) to retrieve prayer times. This request includes:
No account identifiers or personal information are included in this request. AlAdhan is a free, non-commercial public API. Their privacy terms are available at aladhan.com.
If you choose the Barcode Scan wake-up method, Qiyam requests camera access to scan a barcode. Live camera frames are processed on-device only and are never transmitted, stored, or shared. If you choose the Photo Task wake-up method (Pro), your photo is displayed on screen for proof confirmation and is not saved to your photo library or transmitted anywhere.
Qiyam uses Apple's local notification system (UNUserNotificationCenter) to deliver Fajr alarm alerts. These are scheduled and delivered entirely locally — no push notification servers are used for alarm delivery. You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings → Qiyam → Notifications.
Subscription purchases are handled entirely through Apple's App Store / StoreKit. Qiyam never receives or stores your payment details. Apple's purchase privacy policy applies.
Qiyam contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, no crash reporting services, and no tracking pixels. We do not use Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Google Analytics, Meta SDK, or any equivalent service.
Qiyam is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The app does not require account creation.
All data is stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the Qiyam app will delete all locally-stored data. iCloud data (if applicable) can be deleted through iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Qiyam.
Since Qiyam does not operate a user account system or central database, there is no personal data held by us to request, export, or delete on our end. All your data is on your own device and under your control.

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when material changes are made. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
